Copper Stamping Workshop with Clare Poppi

Saturday 1 February / 10:30am – 11:30pm & 12.00pm – 1.00pm / FREE

This free workshop focuses on using repetitive thoughts as a catalyst for creation. Local artist Clare Poppi will take an intimate small group through her process of creating pendants from these thoughts using a simple copper stamping technique. Participants will take away their own thought pendant at the end of the session. This workshop is located at the new Ipswich Art Workshop, next to the Ipswich Art Gallery and Ipswich Community Gallery so there is lots to see and do before and after your free session.

This project is supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund. The Regional Arts Development Fund is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Ipswich City Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.

Crochet Workshop with Elsie Salkeld

Sunday 2 February / 10:30am – 2:00pm / FREE

Join local artist Elsie Salkeld for a casual and fun introduction to the art of crochet. Elsie is currently showing work in the Ipswich Community Gallery and has chosen to share the skills behind her pieces in a small group setting. This free event will take place in the new Ipswich Art Workshop building right next to both the Ipswich Art Gallery and Ipswich Community gallery so there is plenty to see before and after the workshop.
